Paulina Porizkova is standing by her stance after an experienced user had the bravery to call the supermodel out for posting photographs of herself in a bikini.
The 57-year-old model uploaded a picture of herself in a bikini next to a copy of the offensive statement. The model routinely calls attention to the discrimination older women face.
Porizkova quickly called the composer out because she has a long history of promoting female empowerment and helping other people redefine their own ideas of beauty.
Not very pretty, she added. Not all beauty is gentle. You could sustain an injury and get a scar.
Beauty can only be appreciated if you have the ability to SEE. This is why I believe that as we become older, we become more beautiful.
Now that we have earned our beauty and understand what it is, we are able to perceive it so much more clearly. merely uneducated and illiterate.
The supermodel continued, "PS. I'm not sharing this to get sympathy for myself or to feel sorry for myself—quite the reverse!
This is the reason I'm posting it—this sentiment needs to be destroyed because it's so pervasive. Ageing is something we should be proud of, so let's do it!
The supermodel is used to talking about her experiences; most recently, she appeared in the CBS reality series Beyond the Edge,
where she took part in strenuous physical challenges while living in the Panamanian jungle.
She is renowned for sharing sensuous photos that also convey a larger message about ageing and beauty. She recently advocated for the importance of accepting one's imperfections.
The former America's Next Top Model judge wrote in a stunning Instagram picture earlier this month,
"When I love someone, lover or friend, I find them the most beautiful individuals in the world."
Sure, I can admire and observe their "perfections," such as their eyes, complexion, legs, jawlines, hair, and lips,
but it's their apparently flawed characteristics that make me drool, she continued. "They are the ones who delicately and subtly make me because of my affection for them.
Later, she stated that "exactly what makes them attractive - to ME" is their faults.
Porizkova said Pilates kept her long and thin despite a little hip issue after working long hours on Beyond the Edge.
She commented next to a photo of herself in a blue bikini that she was "taking a break and trying to find out how to cure my hips" after her jungle expedition.
After a week of trying to pinpoint the causes, working out, and eating healthily, I believe I'm back on track.
I feel incredibly privileged to have been able to do this and am grateful beyond words."
