According to the actress Helen McCrory's will, which was made public this week,
she bequeathed her husband Damian Lewis her whole £850,000 inheritance after she passed suddenly from breast cancer.
The 52-year-old actress best known for her roles in Harry Potter and Peaky Blinders passed away in April of last year
after a battle with cancer that she had only ever disclosed to her closest friends and family.
She left behind her two children, Manon and Gulliver, as well as Lewis, a Homeland actor and her 14-year spouse.
According to the actress's will, which is now open to the public, her whole fortune, valued at £857,257.12,
was placed in trust for her husband, their children, and any future grandchildren.
Lewis is given the right to distribute monies to himself and other recipients and is designated in the will as one of the 125-year fund's trustees, along with bankers Coutts.
McCrory, who was honoured with an OBE in 2017 for her contributions to drama, won plaudits for her five episodes of
Peaky Blinders in which she played Aunt Polly, the matriarch of the Shelby family.
As the sixth and last season was being filmed, she passed away. The first episode, which also depicted the death of her character, was dedicated to her memory.
The actress who played Narcissa Malfoy in the final three Harry Potter films, along with Dame Judi Dench in Skyfall and Cherie Blair in The Queen, has been on theatre and screen (2006).
Before her illness became known, McCrory made her final TV appearance in March of last year to promote her and her husband's work with the Prince's Trust.
During the pandemic, they helped raise £1.5 million for the charity Feed NHS.
She was "unquestionably one of the finest actors of her generation," according to Rufus Norris,
artistic director of the National Theatre, who made this statement following her passing.
winning Emmy Lewis, 51, disclosed that his late wife gave him instructions to "live wholeheartedly, take opportunities, have adventures" after she died away.
In April of last year, she allegedly said to him and the rest of the family from her bed, "I want Daddy to have girlfriends, plenty of them,
you must all fall in love again, love isn't possessive, but you know, Damian, try at least to get through the funeral without snogging someone."
Lewis was seen in a shot with The Kills vocalist Alison Mosshart, 43, at the summer party held at London venue The House of KOKO. They had just just gotten together.
