Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant shocked the server with a $500 tip after eating at a restaurant.
A videographer captured the action for a player documentary series.
The third instalment of the "Ja Morant Docuseries" was released on Tuesday, and
it featured a waitress asking Morant who he was after giving him a tip. Morant responded, "Black Jesus."
After asking a few more questions and learning that the 22-year-old top player played for the Grizzlies, the waitress finally recognised him.
She audibly yelled. The woman smiled as she ducked out of the picture for the camera.
A video of the exchange was viewed by thousands of people on Twitter.
Morant received a lot of praise for his friendliness, and
other people also mentioned how often he shows kindness.
The NBA's current Most Improved Player of the Year tweeted,
"Blessings occur when you bless others," in response.
Morant reportedly consented to a five-year,
$193 million deal extension last week, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The total value of the transaction might reach $231 million.
Even though they were defeated by the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference playoffs,
Morant and the Grizzlies enjoyed a fantastic season.
